How upside-down text works
There is no “upside-down font”. Instead each letter is swapped for a Unicode character that looks like it rotated 180° — a becomes ɐ, e becomes ǝ, h becomes ɥ, ? becomes ¿ — and the string is reversed so it reads correctly when the phone is turned around. Because the output is ordinary text, it survives copy and paste into usernames, bios, comments and messages on any app that accepts Unicode.

Tick Flip each line separately to flip every line in place instead of turning the whole block around, so a list keeps its order. To turn upside-down text back to normal, paste it in and choose Upside down again — the conversion works in both directions.
Characters that flip
All 26 lowercase and uppercase English letters, the digits 0–9 and common punctuation (. , ! ? ' " ( ) [ ] { } < > & _ ;) have upside-down equivalents. Anything else — emoji, accented letters, other scripts — is kept as is and only moved by the reversal. A few look-alikes (such as ⅁ for an upside-down G) come from less common Unicode blocks and may show as a box on very old devices.

How do I type upside down text?
Type or paste your text into the box and the upside-down version appears instantly. Press Copy output and paste it wherever you like — it is ordinary Unicode, not an image or a font.
What is a text flipper?
A text flipper reverses the order of the characters so the text reads backwards: “Hello” becomes “olleH”. Choose Backwards (reverse text) for that, or Upside down to also rotate every letter.
Can I turn upside-down text back to normal?
Yes. Paste the upside-down text and keep the Upside down style selected, or press Flip back. The mapping works in both directions.
Does upside-down text work on Instagram, TikTok and Discord?
Yes. The characters are standard Unicode, so they paste into bios, captions, usernames and chats. Very old devices may show a few rare characters as boxes.
Why are some characters not flipped?
Only characters that have a convincing upside-down look-alike in Unicode are swapped. Emoji, accented letters and other scripts are kept as they are, though they still move with the reversal.

No. Flipping runs entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
