Random Quote Generator

Get a random quote with its real author and source, a proverb with its meaning, a caption for your next post, or a tongue twister to trip over. Filter by topic, generate as many as you need and copy them in one click.

    Real quotes with sources

Every quote shows who said or wrote it and where: a speech (“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself”, Franklin D. Roosevelt, first inaugural address, 1933), a book (“Not all those who wander are lost”, J. R. R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring), a letter, an interview or a film. Popular lines that are commonly misattributed online, such as many sayings credited to Einstein, Gandhi or Mark Twain without a source, were deliberately left out so you can quote with confidence.

    Random proverb generator with meanings

The Proverbs tab has 80 proverbs, each with a short explanation: English classics such as A stitch in time saves nine alongside proverbs from Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Russian, Latin, Swahili, Irish, Scottish, Yiddish, Indian and Korean traditions, shown in English translation (Fall seven times, stand up eight). A few well-known sayings whose origin is disputed are labelled Popular saying rather than credited to a country.

The Captions tab gives short, original captions for Instagram, TikTok and other posts in 14 categories: selfie, travel, beach, food, coffee, friends, nature, funny, love, birthday, gym, pets, motivation and aesthetic. They were written for this tool, so you can use them freely. Generate five at once and pick the one that fits your photo.

The Tongue twisters tab has 50 traditional English tongue twisters. Easy ones are short (Red lorry, yellow lorry) but hard to repeat quickly; Hard ones include The sixth sick sheikh’s sixth sheep’s sick and Pad kid poured curd pulled cod. Use them for speech practice, drama warm-ups, English pronunciation lessons or party games: say each one three times fast.
