Two kinds of circle text
“Circle text” means two different things, so this page does both:
- Circled letters (Ⓒⓘⓡⓒⓛⓔ, 🅒🅘🅡🅒🅛🅔) are Unicode characters you copy and paste into bios, usernames, captions and chats. Some people call them bubble letters.
- Text around a circle is curved lettering for logos, stamps, badges, seals, stickers and cake toppers. It is a graphic, exported as an SVG or PNG.
How to copy and paste circled letters
- Type in the Circled letters tab. All eight styles update as you type.
- Click Copy on a style, or click the preview.
- Paste into Instagram, TikTok, Discord, X, WhatsApp, a document, or anywhere else that accepts text.
| Style | Sample | Unicode range | Covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Circled capitals | ⒶⒷⒸ | U+24B6–U+24CF | A–Z |
| Circled small | ⓐⓑⓒ | U+24D0–U+24E9 | a–z |
| Circled digits | ⓪①②③ | U+24EA, U+2460–U+2468 | 0–9 (and up to ⑳ 20) |
| Negative circled | 🅐🅑🅒 | U+1F150–U+1F169 | A–Z only |
| Negative circled digits | ⓿❶❷❸ | U+24FF, U+2776–U+277E | 0–9 |
| Squared | 🄰🄱🄲 | U+1F130–U+1F149 | A–Z only |
| Negative squared | 🅰🅱🅲 | U+1F170–U+1F189 | A–Z only |
| Parenthesized | ⒜⒝⒞ ⑴⑵ | U+249C–U+24B5, U+2474–U+247C | a–z, 1–9 |
Characters outside those sets, such as punctuation, accented letters and emoji, are left as they are. Enclosed letters are usually drawn from a symbol font, so they can look bigger or smaller than the surrounding text. Screen readers read them as “circled Latin capital letter C” and so on, so do not use them for important information.
How to curve text around a circle
- Open Text around a circle.
- Top text runs clockwise around the outside and reads left to right across the top. Bottom text runs along the bottom and reads upright, like the lower half of a stamp or seal.
- Adjust radius to set the circle size, rotate to move the text around the circle, and letter spacing to open up tight lettering.
- Tick Spread evenly around circle for text that wraps the whole way round with even gaps, like a coin edge. Separate repeated phrases with • or ★ for a clean join.
- Add a centre symbol or short word, turn stamp rings on or off, pick colours, and download an SVG (vector, any size) or a 1500 px PNG with a transparent background.
The designer uses SVG’s <textPath> element: the words follow an invisible circular path, so letters are rotated correctly and stay editable text in the SVG file. You can paste the copied SVG code straight into a web page.
Design tips for circular logos and stamps
- Use capitals and bold weights. Curved lowercase text with descenders (g, p, y) looks uneven around a circle; capitals keep a steady outline.
- Balance top and bottom. Keep the bottom line shorter than the top, and separate them with a symbol at each side (•, ★, ✦).
- Mind the gap. Text shorter than the circle leaves a gap. Rotate it to the bottom, fill it with a symbol, or use Spread evenly.
- Size for the final use. A stamp for paper can be dense; a logo seen as a small avatar needs fewer, larger letters.
- Convert fonts for production. Before sending an SVG to a printer, Cricut or laser cutter, convert text to paths so the design does not depend on installed fonts.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make circle text?
For letters inside circles, type in the Circled letters tab and copy a style such as βΈββ‘βββ or π π π ‘π π π . To curve text around a circle for a logo or stamp, open Text around a circle, type your wording, adjust the radius, rotation and spacing, and download an SVG or PNG.
What are circled letters in Unicode?
They are Enclosed Alphanumerics: βΆ to β start at U+24B6, β to β© at U+24D0, and β to β¨ at U+2460, with βͺ at U+24EA. Negative circled capitals like π are in the Enclosed Alphanumeric Supplement at U+1F150. Because they are characters, they can be pasted anywhere text is accepted.
Why are there no lowercase negative circled letters?
Unicode only defines negative circled, squared and negative squared forms for capital letters. The generator converts lowercase to those capitals automatically. Regular circled letters exist in both cases.
Why do some squared letters look like emoji?
A few negative squared letters such as π °, π ±, π Ύ and π Ώ are also emoji (the blood type and parking signs), so phones may draw them in colour. The rest stay as plain black-and-white symbols.
How do I curve text in a circle for a logo?
Use Text around a circle. Put the main wording in the top field, optional wording in the bottom field, and a symbol or short word in the centre. Tick Spread evenly around circle to wrap text all the way round, and Stamp rings for a badge border. Download the SVG to edit or scale it in Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma, Canva or Cricut Design Space.
Can I use the SVG for Cricut, laser engraving or printing?
Yes. The SVG is a vector file that scales to any size. Most cutting and engraving software needs the text converted to outlines, so open the SVG in Inkscape or Illustrator and use Object to Path or Create Outlines before cutting. Fonts come from your device, so pick one you have installed.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The Unicode conversion and the SVG drawing both run in your browser.
