Type or paste text and listen — choose voice, language, speed, and pitch. Uses your browser's built-in speech engine.
This tool uses the browser's SpeechSynthesis API. The available voices come from your operating system — macOS, Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS each ship with different sets of voices. Chrome and Edge add cloud-quality voices on top.
Voices are provided by the OS or browser. iOS has Siri-style voices; Windows has Microsoft voices; Chrome adds Google voices. There's no universal voice list.
The Web Speech API does not provide audio export. For MP3 output, use cloud TTS services like Google Cloud TTS or Amazon Polly.
