How many teams are in the NBA?
There are 30 NBA teams: 15 in the Eastern Conference and 15 in the Western Conference, each conference split into three divisions of five teams.
How do I pick a random NBA team from the East or West only?
Click the Eastern Conference or Western Conference chip, or open the page with ?mode=east or ?mode=west. The Division dropdown narrows it further.
Can I draw several NBA teams without repeats?
Yes. Set How many to the number you need and keep No repeats ticked. The tool also remembers earlier clicks, so all teams appear once before the list starts over.
Can it make random NBA matchups?
Tick Pair as matchups and draw an even number of teams. Results show as Team A vs Team B, and Copy gives one game per line.
Is every team equally likely?
Yes. Each draw uses the browser’s cryptographic random generator with no weighting, so every team in the filtered pool has the same chance. Nothing is sent to a server.
