The Current players pool holds about 120 starters and key rotation players spread across all 30 teams, with each player’s team, position and conference. The All-time legends pool holds 50 retired greats, from George Mikan and Bill Russell to Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki and Derrick Rose, with the team they are best known for and their NBA career span.

How current is the player list?
Current teams reflect NBA rosters at the end of the 2025-26 season. Players change teams through trades and free agency, especially between July and the February trade deadline, so a pick may show a player’s previous team after an offseason move. The list is reviewed and updated each season. The pool is a curated set of well-known players, not every player on a 15-man roster.

Can I get a random player from a specific team?
Yes. Stay on Current players and choose the team in the Team dropdown. You can combine it with the Position filter, for example a random Lakers guard.
How do I make a random starting five?
Set How many to 5 with No repeats on and press Generate. For a balanced five, draw guards, forwards and centers separately with the Position filter.
Are the teams up to date?
They reflect rosters at the end of the 2025-26 NBA season. Offseason trades and signings for 2026-27 may not be reflected until the list is updated.
Can I get a random retired NBA player?
Choose All-time legends or open the page with ?mode=legends. Each legend shows the team they are most associated with and their career years.
