Decide what to eat with a random food generator
When nobody can choose, let the generator decide. It draws from 165 real dishes, each tagged with its cuisine, its course (breakfast, main, side, snack or dessert) and its diet (vegetarian, vegan, contains meat or contains seafood). Cuisines include American, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, French, Greek, Middle Eastern, Turkish, Spanish and more.
- Meal chips: breakfast, lunch or dinner, snacks and desserts.
- Cuisine filter: stuck between Thai and Mexican? Pick a cuisine, or let it choose one for you.
- Vegetarian and vegan: the Vegetarian chip covers both; the Diet filter narrows to vegan only.
- Meal planning: set How many to 7 for a week of dinners with no repeats, then export the list.
- Random candy: a separate picker for sweets and chocolate.

Random candy generator
The Candy chip (?mode=candy) picks from 60 candies and sweets, from Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Snickers and Skittles to Haribo Goldbears, Hi-Chew, Chupa Chups and Turkish delight. Each candy shows its type (chocolate bar, gummy, hard candy, lollipop, licorice and more), its main taste and its country of origin. Use it for Halloween bags, candy taste tests, party games or a sweet-tooth tie-breaker.
Fun ways to use a random dish
Weekly meal planning, date-night “cook something new” challenges, a world-cuisine tour one country at a time, picking a potluck dish, food-themed drawing prompts, and settling the nightly “what’s for dinner?” debate. If you are eating out rather than cooking, the random restaurant generator picks a restaurant chain or cuisine instead.
