Different countries have different passport photo size requirements. Here are the most common standards:

United States — 2×2 inches (51×51 mm), color, white or off-white background
United Kingdom / EU — 35×45 mm, color, light grey or cream background
Canada — 50×70 mm print size, face area 31–36 mm, plain white background
India — 35×35 mm, light blue or white background
China — 33×48 mm (recent standard), plain white background

Tips for a Good Passport Photo

Neutral expression, mouth closed, eyes open and directly facing the camera
No glasses (most countries now require glasses-free photos)
Plain light background — avoid shadows on the background
Face should fill 70–80% of the frame
No hats or head coverings (except for religious reasons)
Good, even lighting — avoid harsh shadows on the face

Can I print the sheet at home?

Yes — print the 4×6 inch output at actual size (no scaling) on a 4×6 photo paper or plain paper. Take it to a photo counter or use a home inkjet/laser printer set to "actual size." The photos will be the correct dimensions when printed without scaling.

Will this passport photo be accepted officially?

This tool produces photos of the correct dimensions. However, official acceptance depends on many factors: expression, background, lighting, head size within the frame, and recency. Always check the specific requirements of the issuing country and authority before submitting. For critical applications, use a professional photo service.

How many photos fit on a 4×6 sheet?
