The document is parsed with smol-toml, a full TOML 1.0 parser, so duplicate keys, redefined tables, bad dates, unterminated strings and invalid numbers are reported with the line and column. A valid file shows its top-level keys. Defining port = 8080 and then port = 9090 is rejected because a key cannot be defined twice.
