What the Markdown formatter changes

It adds the missing space in ATX headings (#Title becomes # Title), puts blank lines around headings and fenced code blocks, collapses extra blank lines, trims trailing spaces while keeping two-space hard line breaks, and pads table columns so the pipes line up. Code inside fences is never modified. The rendered HTML stays the same apart from the corrected headings.
