HTML Compare Online

Compare two HTML documents line by line and review additions, removals, and unchanged content locally.

Comparison

How to compare two HTML documents

  1. Paste the earlier HTML into the Original HTML box.
  2. Paste the revised markup into the Changed HTML box.
  3. Select Compare HTML to inspect each changed line.

Lines removed from the second document are marked in red, additions are marked in green, and unchanged lines remain neutral. Format both documents consistently when whitespace-only changes should not dominate the result. This is useful for checking SEO templates, reviewing CMS output, comparing email markup, and finding accidental edits in generated pages.

What this HTML diff checks

This tool compares source text, including element order, attributes, text, indentation, and line breaks. It does not validate HTML, compare rendered pixels, run scripts, fetch stylesheets, or normalize equivalent DOM structures. Inspect the final page separately for rendering and accessibility after locating the source change.

Privacy and file size

Comparison runs in your browser. Your pasted HTML is not uploaded to NeatJSON, so it is suitable for reviewing private templates and local drafts. Very large documents may use substantial browser memory; compare sections separately if a full export becomes slow.

Compare HTML source online

Use this HTML diff tool to compare templates, page revisions, snippets, and HTML files without uploading them. Unchanged lines are shown alongside additions and removals so you can quickly review what changed between two versions.

The comparison is intentionally source-oriented: it does not execute the HTML or interpret it as markup. That keeps arbitrary HTML safe to inspect and makes the result useful for debugging, reviewing generated pages, and checking edits before publishing.
